Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts Presented a $30,000 Check to the Pennsylvania Special Olympics

University Park, PA - June 15, 2011- Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts presented a check totaling $30,000 to the Pennsylvania Special Olympics on June 9 at the Pennsylvania Summer Games VIP Reception held at The Pennsylvania State University.

The proceeds, raised by Cove Haven guests from May 2010 to May 2011, will help benefit the 3 million Special Olympic athletes in more than 180 countries. Cove Haven has donated more than a half million dollars to the Pennsylvania Special Olympics over the last 15 years.

"I am thrilled that our guests continue to make contributions each year to the Special Olympics, especially because there are more than 20,000 Special Olympic athletes right here in Pennsylvania," said Phil Tumminello, Pocono Palace manager and winner of the 2011 Pocono Mountains Tourism Lifetime Achievement Award.

Some of the monetary donations were collected by CXOs (Chief Excitement Officers) during raffles at on-site guest activities. The raffle prizes include a 4-day/3-night stay, a 3-day/2-night stay and a $200 Gift Shop Gift Certificate. The raffle drawing will be on Sept. 4, 2011.

Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts does three raffles each year- New Year's Day, Sunday before Memorial Day & Sunday before Labor Day.
