CAESARS POCONO RESORTS ANNOUNCES “MONTH OF 1,000 LAUGHS”

— A Month-Long Celebration of Comedy and Romance —

LAKEVILLE, PA – Caesars Pocono Resorts today announced June will be known as the Month of 1,000 Laughs throughout its Pocono-area properties. The comedy celebration, running Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 28, 2008, will take place at Cove Haven Resort in Lakeville, PA and Paradise Stream Resort in Mount Pocono, PA.

The month will be full of exciting activities for any comedy lover and featured comedians include: Jamie Lissow, James Johann, Joe DeVito, Jimmy Shubert, Tammy Pescatelli, Donnell Rawlings, Bonnie McFarlane, and Rich Vos.

• Jamie Lissow: Currently headlining at the nation’s top comedy clubs, Lissow has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Last Comic Standing, The Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Star Search and Premium Blend on Comedy Central.
• James Johann: A ten-year veteran of the stand-up comedy circuit, James has performed in the Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and has been featured on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. In 2003 he joined the “Paying For The New Trailer” theatre tour starring Jeff Foxworthy & Larry the Cable Guy.
• Joe DeVito: Smart, silly and likeable, Joe DeVito is a regular at New York’s Gotham Comedy Club, Stand-Up NY, Catch a Rising Star and the Borgatta in Atlantic City. He was a featured performer on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and has written for MTV, Fuse, Stuff Magazine and the Oscar-nominated film, Super Size Me.
• Jimmy Shubert: Headlining across the country, Shubert describes his comedy as a cross between Denis Leary and Dennis Miller. In addition to comedy, Shubert has also appeared in Coyote Ugly, One Hour Photo and The Italian Job and had a recurring role on the CBS comedy The King of Queens.
• Tammy Pescatelli: Three-time Cleo Award nominee Tammy Pescatelli has appeared on television shows like Evening at the Improv and Court of Common Sense, and was recently named winner of the ‘Bud Light Ladies of Laughter’ competition. This 13-year veteran of stand up was a contestant on the second season of Last Comic Standing.
• Donnell Rawlings: Donnell performed on Comedy Central’s award winning Chappelle’s Show as ‘Ashy Larry’, and after Chappelle stepped down, Donnell stepped in to host the ‘Lost Episodes’. He is filming a new pilot for Comedy Central with Charlie Murphy and just wrapped the feature length comedy “Twist The Cap”.
• Bonnie McFarlane: Bonnie McFarlane, a Canadian stand up comic, has appeared on Last Comic Standing, The Late Show with Craig Kilboarn, Friday Night, Premium Blend, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman. Bonnie hosted Later on NBC, wrote for The Man Show & Spy TV and starred in Gross Point, Scare Tactics & The Drew Carey Show.
• Rich Vos: Vos has performed on the View, was the first white comic to appear on Def Comedy Jam and has one of the highest rated half hour specials on Comedy Central. Vos, the breakout star of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, is a regular guest on Tough Crowd, and wrote for Chris Rock when he hosted the Academy Awards in 2005.
